The Morning Co-op
The Twin Bridges Series: Book 1
Sarah, a veterinary assistant at Twin Bridges Animal Hospital, isn’t looking for a relationship. She has been burned in the past, a fact she reminds her co-workers of each time they try to set her up with someone new. However, after sharing an unexpected kiss with the hospital’s new co-op student Matthew, she is left swallowing her pride and admitting she may have been wrong.
Just as things should be heating up, they instead seem to cool off, leaving Sarah confused and harbouring doubts. Stuck in a loop of overthinking, she must navigate her emotions to figure out what she wants and what she needs to start feeling in control of her life again. Convinced she has found the best way to move forward, she starts working for her happily ever after. This apparent road to happiness is full of hardships, each one testing her resolve in new and unexpected ways.
Her biggest obstacle continues to be Matthew, as she tries to find where he best fits in her life. With the right supports behind her, namely Mama Meg, Sarah is able to put herself first, getting everything she wants and more . . . until her past comes knocking. It could very well be the thing that breaks her.
The Evening Drives
The Twin Bridges Series: Book 2
Sarah thought the hardest part of loving Matthew would be watching him leave for university.
She was wrong.
Now while Matthew is building a new life in Waterloo around rugby, teammates, and study sessions, Sarah is left behind trying to balance a new promotion, anxiety about the future, and a relationship that suddenly feels held together by brief phone calls and weekend visits that never go as planned.
The only thing making the distance manageable?
The evening drives to Waterloo with Thomas— Matthew’s older brother, Sarah’s former one-night stand, and the one person capable of getting under her skin faster than anyone else alive.
Thomas was supposed to just be transportation.
Instead, he becomes the person who notices when Sarah is overwhelmed, remembers the little things Matthew has started missing, and slowly slips past every wall she thought she had under control.
But while Sarah and Thomas grow closer, Matthew is fighting just as hard to keep everything from falling apart— even if it means burying his insecurities, hiding the cracks in their relationship, and pretending he can fix problems before anyone notices they exist.
Until one kiss, one secret, and one devastating accident force all three of them to confront feelings none of them can ignore anymore.
